"Come on, get a move on." Jakob said through his mind. Benjamyn shook his head, and followed his twin. The last time hey read this far, Jakob and to turn back around and help Benjamyn to his feet, for a silver blade was through his leg. Obivously thrown.
Jakob couldn't let that happen, not again. Seeing it in his brothers leg, made him feel pained. Benjamyn didn't deserve half of what the other vampires did. Now full of black blood running his each ones faces, Jakob took a short cut through the outskirts of NEw York City. And when they came to a street, Jakob pushed Benjamyn into the backyard of a home.
"Shh....stay quiet." Jakob spoke again to his brother, this time softer. And when they reached the backyard, the Twins realized the lights were still on. Jakob and Benjamyn crouched down, trying to keep themselves hidden.
"Damnit..." Benjamyn cussed, forgeting about his mind. There were burn marks on his legs and by his shoulders. When a light when on, both boys went quiet.
"The humans are still awake..." Jakob said, covering Benjamyns mouth. "Do not scream in pain." Jakob glanced at the back door.

"Your house is right up the corner, right?" she asked, her arms behind her back, light breeze toying with her blonde locks. The outskirts made her nervous, and she was freezing. She clutched her heather gray sweatshirt closer to her body, a simple white tank top underneath.
Her new friend Sephy nodded quietly. She walked up to her house after she and the rest of her new friends said goodbye to her. There was four of them in total, and even though Thora didn't like them much, there wasn't much she could do. High school would have been torture without friends.
"God, I'm so cold," Thora announced through chattering teeth, and her friend Ashley linked an arm through hers and pulled her closer in a feeble attempt to get her warm. Thora accepted it, feeling a little better at this simple offering, and continued their way down the path to where they were headed, which was a small park nearby.
"Thank god we got rid of Sephy," said Erica, shaking her head so her long brown hair shimmered against her shoulders in the pale moonlight. "She's a real bummer, really, and we never get to do anything fun when she's around. I wouldn't be suprised if she asked us to play Barbies."
Thora kept her mouth shut, because out of all of her friends, Sephy was probably her favorite. She did not want to cause a disruption in the little paradise she had been denied anywhere else: friends.
That wasn't true. Jakob and Benjamyn had been friends, but she had stopped seeing them. Was she afraid of that world? Was she just stupid? Why had she ditched the only true friends that she had?
Journeying a little further down the road, she saw Jasmine's house. "Crap," Jasmine said softly, shaking her head. "I left my cigs in the backyard." She went for her backyard immediately. "Shh, my parents are up."
The other three girls followed her silently, watched her pick up her cigs, and they were about to leave, but Thora saw something out of the corner of her eye. Twins. Twins that looked like Jakob and Benjamyn. She didn't know if she should cower in fear or shriek with glee. She just stood frozen on the spot.

Jakob glanced over at the girls, not catching Thora right away. Benjamyn let out a howl and pushed Jakob away from him. "You hurt my shoulder.." He said and stood up, straggering a bit, then looking at the girls. He stood frozen. Jakob stood up slowly too. "Jakob, who are they?" Benjamyn asked, staggering to stand.
Jakob slowly walked closer to the human, his eye catching Thora from behind. "Thora? No way..." He smiled, and came into the light, showing his bleeding self. ":Just picked a fight, no big deal." Benjamyn snorted. "There were these....." He paused and looked at the other girls. "Who are they?"

Thora stood face to face with Jakob, feeling her cheeks heat, remembering everything from before. Beside her, Jasmine's recently lit cigarette fell to the ground. "Jakob," she whispered frozen on the spot still. She dropped her bookbag to the ground. She was resisting the urge to run up and give him and Benjamyn a hug.
She was confused. He had looked so happy to see her until he saw Jasmine, Ashley, and Erica. But then she realized it. He was upset because she had friends.
"These are my new friends. Jasmine, Ashley, and Erica." She said, forcing a smile. She turned to them, and whispered, "Maybe you should go." She told them, jerking her head in some opposite direction. Jasmine stayed there. "And who the hell are you? And what are you doing in my backyard?"
"Go, Jasmine. Now." She hissed, and Jasmine opened her mouth to protest, but Thora's eyes darkened. The lights started flickering behind her, one actually burst. The picnic table started shaking beside her, and Jasmine looked confused. "Go," she said again, this time more demanding, a strained look on her face. Jasmine ran off into the distant, obviously not planning on talking to Thora again for a while. As soon as Jasmine left, Thora sunk to her knees in pain. Seeing Jakob had thrown her for a loop. This was one of the worst ones yet. She screeched in pain and hoped it would stop. "I'm sorry!" she said, shaking her head.

She felt Jakob's arms go around her and she clutched to him, feeling herself calm down. "I shouldn't have disappeared, I'm sorry." She sniffled and held him closer, feeling Benjamyn rub her back.
She heard the rusting in the distance. She looked up, her eyes widening. He said something about needing to hide. She should have been there. She could have helped. "Which one of you is more injured? Where's Ania?" She stood up, brushing off her knees and hearing the... whatever get closer. "What is that?" She whispered. She wondered if her screech had lured them closer. "You guys can stay at my house... who is more hurt? I can't support you both... we need to go..."
Her heart panged with guilt. She really wanted to help them. She still felt really bad for abandoning them.

Jakob and Benjamyn looked in the distance, then at each other.
"I can't run anymore..." Benjamyn whispered.
"Shh, Brother. Be strong." Jakob hissed quietly. Shaking his head, he made his body disapear, but he grabbed Thora by the hand and headed inside of the house. Benjamyn right behind them. He made sure, the door shut quietly with his mind. At the top of the stairs, still unseen, Benjamyn leaned against the wall and headed into the bathroom where he washed off his black blood. Jakob quietly did the same. And when they finished, both looked at the mirror. Only mist came at them. Benjamyn choked and headed into Thora's bedroom quietly, forgetting about the girls.
Jakob didn't look at Thora when he followed his brother. Though, he glanced at the girls. Without a word, he limped his way over to the window. Benjamyn glanced at Thora once she came in then at the others.
"We're still here. I hope you don't mind if we hide here for a bit. Please just go on about your business..." Benjamyn spoke through Thoras mind.
Jakob turned away from the window to look at Thora. "Do not feel sorry for not seeing us. We are vampires after all, Creatures of the night. Benjamyn and I have our prices to pay. Be with your friends, We are right here." Jakob spoke next. In a settle attempt, he knocked on the window once to tell Thora were he was. Benjamyn knocked on the floor board, showing her he was by the door. Benjamyn looked at Jakob and quietly layed down while he let his wounds heal. "Be with your friends, We scared them, I can smell fear.."

Thora smiled as her friends followed her into her room, sitting down and petting her cat which was stretched lazily about on her bed.
"Who were those guys? They were twins, right?" asked Jasmine, shaking her head. She pulled out a cigarette but Thora shook her head no. She hated the stench of it. Jasmine didn't argue, everyone could tell that the look in Thora's eyes was a serious one. She wanted the girls to leave so she could ask about what was going on, she really did.
But then she remembered, she could communicate through thoughts with them! Excellent...
What the hell is going on? What was chasing you? What can I do to help? She prayed to god hoping that they were paying attention to her mind at the moment. She shifted a little in her spot, acknowledging their taps that signified where they were. She still wanted the girls to leave, because communicating through thoughts was annoying and complicated. But she figured she'd wait a litte while until then.
Jakob and Benjamyn told her to be with her friends, she smiled and thought, I will be once they leave. She directed her smile in the direction of Jakob and then Benjamyn.

Benjamyn picked up his head once one human girl asked about him. He couldn't help but laugh, Jakob turned to look at him-luckily the humans and THora couldn't hear him. "You've lost it, you know that?" Jakob said to Benjamyn, his voice hidden from the girls.
Benjamyn shook his head, and stood up. "Can we play? I want to play...." Benjamyn asked as he got up and made his way over to the bed.
Jakob shook his head again and glanced out the window. Quickly he hit the ground, making a loud thud on the floor. Even though he was hidden....Jakob still had his instincts. Both boys listened to THora speak through their heads but neither spoke, not just yet.
Once Jakob got up, Benjamyn turned to laugh at him. "Stop it..I swear to you..." Jakob warned moving closer to his breother.
"I'm sorry Jakob, but that...." He kept laughing, "That was just priceless." Angrily, Jakob pushed his brother against the wall, making another thud, but because of Jakob and Ben's strength this one sounded like a rattle. It was a quick one, but they were unsheathed then sheathed again. Benjamyn pushed Jakob off and onto the ground, again, they were unsheathed and sheathed again. When it happened again, Benjamyn by Thora for safetly and Jakob just infront of the bed. Both unsheathed themselves.
"It's not funny Bebjamyn!!" Jakob screamed, but Benjamyn laughed.
Benjamyn went behind Thora, "Protect me, He's gone mad, but I just can't stop laughing."
Jakob snnorted loudly and shook his head. "Wait until we are outside, I will reopen those scars of yours. It was your fault they were chasing us..You deserve those scars."
"Stop it, I did not." Benjamyn said, getting serious. He stepped away from Thora and stood infront of Jakob. Both glared at each other, both ready.

Thora jumped up immediately, her eyes going from twin to the next, watching them horseplay. Her cheeks grew hot. What the hell were they doing?
Her 'friends' just followed her eyes, looking shocked. She swore she saw Erica's hand go to her mouth for a mere second before dropping it. Ashley ran out, but the other two stood transfixed on the spot.
Finally, they completely unsheathed themselves, and Thora looked at Benjamyn behind her and Jakob in front of her. She looked at her other two friends. "Uhh.. maybe you should..." she said, jerking her head towards the door. The girls nodded and left. Now she stood alone with Jakob and Benjamyn.
"You guys, don't fight, now's definately not the time." She sat down, pinching the bridge of her nose between her two fingers. She wanted to let them know that she might have lost her only friends, but she decided against it.
"Tell me what is going on and what kind of risk my parents run by simply living here." She told them simple and to the point, looking up at them, a bit stern, but she wanted to know so bad.

Still glaring at each other, they stepped back two steps at the same time, like a mirror, then turned to look at Thora. "Hunters have been chasing us for the past hour and half. They caught us frighting with a werewolf prowling around Central Park. The hunters thought we were torturing it, but the werewolf is dead now. And now they are after us. " Jakob glanced at Benjamyn angrily, "Benjamyn had to be curious...he just had to turn away from the path we were heading too."
"I was not, I heard a sound." Benjamyn retorted.
Jakob sighed sadly, and when he glanced around noticing no friends, Jakob shook his head. "Benjamyn you know what we have to do."
Benjamyn's face softed and he sat down on the floor. "I hate this part..." Benjamyn said quietly.
Jakob opened the door and automaticly noticed the two that didn't flee. "Please come in, We did not mean to startle you." He said stepping aside and offering them in Thora's room. Once they were in, Jakob heard Jasmines first thought. He answered quietly. "My name is Jakob, that over there is my twin brother, Benjamyn. We are sorry we scared you. A lot has happened tonight, we still had our adrenline running." Jakob paused to lean against the door.
Benjamyn continued, "We are Thora's friends. Please don't tell about us if we tell you what we are. It's hard when we tell humans....Thora's friends are our friends too. If thats a good way of looking at it. Thora is so great, you are lucky to have her as a friend." He smiled, but then let it fade. Both boys looked at Thora, then at hte girls, same time. As usual.

"I had a feeling it was hunters. Or werewolves... or that one guy that almost killed me." ((sorry if i'm being overdramatic, i don't really remember how it went)) She said this very grimly, shaking her head and looking down.
When it seemed like the two boys were going to start bickering again, she looked at them rather sharply. "It doesn't matter anymore... if there were hunters about, it was probably bound to happen anyway." She stood back up, and began pacing a little bit. "Well, hunters are human, so they won't just barge in here like a werewolf would. Good."
She felt a bit confused when they started talking, and then understood when they opened the door. She let the two of them do the talking, she was at loss for words.
She did blush a little and shake her head when they said she was a great person, though.

Jakob and Benjamyn frowned at the same time at Thora's outbursts. They didn't speak about it. Sighing now, both boys looked at the human girls then at Thora.
"Your wrong." Benjamyn spoke quietly toward Thora.
"Human or not, Hunters will still come into your house. They don't care how many people there are in this house....or who is in it-all they are worried about is...Benjamyn and I's race. They want us to bleed, thats their mission." Jakob said, then paused for a moment. "It is possible Jermic could do damage on Benjamyn, he is to insane for the vampiric race. I say kill him, and get on with my afterlife. He has broken into institutions, jails, homes, even company buildings to get what he wants. He isn't just a flyer, but a climber too. His claws can dig into cement, but they are as fragile as walking on glass. His race is around the mountains, but they are rare to find. They are different colors, shapes, and sizes." Jakob explained.
Benjamyn glanced at the humans, "Jakob, my twin and I are vampires. We've been here for....almost 5 hundred years. We followed the human race as if we werre part of you. We aren't like other vampires. Solitude vampires kill by themselves. Or some twin vampires kill one another until one survives. Jakob and I do everything together."
"And when we say everything, we mean it." Jakob said, then went quiet.
Benjamyn continued, "Do not fear us. We are not like the others. hmm...this Jermic we talk about is a vampire but he also has a demon curse in him. Means he can shift from demon to vampire. He is known as the Shadow Killer to yous humans." Benjamyn then paused, letting Jakob speak.
"We blend with humans, to keep out sanity stable. If we turned away from your race ladies, Benjamyn and I wouldn't be here." Jakob looked to his brother to see him examing his scars. "I missed you..." Jakob said in Thora's mind. He didn't look at Thora, but he kept hsi eyes on his brother who went to the mirror placed on the door to look at himself. Only faint mist showed.
Benjamyn turned to look back at his brother, "We grow older....I can not see my eyes anymore." He smiled. Jakob grinned, and shook hsi head.
