The streets were dark. Deserted and empty. No sign of life in the seemingly deserted town. A hollow wind blew by, pushing around the autmn leaves, makeing them scratch against the concrete. Clouds shrouded the area, sending the town into a state of unnerving darkness. The moon was sleeping, covered in a thick blanket of smog. The town was darker than dark... Though there was one that dared to venture out into these conditions. Sitting in a park bench, foolishly alone, was a woman, doubled over on the bench with her face burried in her hands. Small sobs could be heard as the woman's body shook gently. Slowly though she began to hear footsteps. The sounds of rubber soles thudding gently on the pavement. She sat up straight, looking forward into the darkness. Nothing. The footsteps could be heard louder. Louder, louder thudding closer, closer. Quickly she spun around, standing up off of her bench. "Yip!" Sitting there in front of her was a small dog. Chocolate brown in color with baby blue eyes that were barely visible through the darkness. The woman laughed lightly. "Hey there cutey..." she spoke softly as she walked forward and knealed down in front of the animal. "You scared me..." The dog wagged it's tail happily, tongue hanging slightly out of it's open mouth. She reached out and gave it a few loving pats on the head before standing again. The dog stood as well turning its back to her. It whined slightly taking a few steps forward then glanced back at her. "What is it, boy?" she asked. Again the dog whined, walking back to her to take part of her pants in its mouth and tug gently. She laughed a bit more. "Want me to follow you?" she asked. "Yip!" The dog barked and turned back around, trotting quietly down the street. "Allright, allright wait up.." she said as she followed him down the street then into a small alleyway. Though once into the alley she lost sight of the animal, unable to see him anymore. "Hey boy where'd you go?" she asked as she took a few more steps into the alley. "...You know it's not wise to venture into such places at night..." a dark and cold voice rang out. The girl jumped, backing up some. "Now now... Don't be leaving so soon... I've barely gotten a chance to introduce myself..." A figure then appeared in front of the girl. "W-who are you...?" she stuttered fear-filledly. "Forgive me..." he said, voice still cold. "My name's Damian..." At those words he lunged forward, pushing the girl hard against the alley wall, causing her to yelp loudly. "Get off of me!" she yelled, body trembling in fear. "Oh I don't think so..." he said with a smirk of pure darkness as he leaned forward and plunged his fangs into her neck. "N-no..." she whispered as her body began to fall limp in his arms. Slowly he drained her blood.. Every ounce of it leaving her body... The blood lust had gotten to him and you could tell.. It was a wonder he had took such time into planning how to get this meal... "I needed that..." he said softly, letting the girl drop to the ground, leaving her there for death. Two small lines of blood trailed down his chin, dripping off of his fangs.

Damian walked out of the alley, wiping the blood off on his coat sleeve as he traveled. He walked on for some time, filled and content with blood with several hours more to spend before the sun would rise... "Hey watch it!" a voice called as Damian unknowingly bumped into someone. He blinked a few times and looked forward. Standing there was....

(^_^ That was fun... Tag anyone!!)

((hey hey1))
Squall looked the vampire straight in the eye even though she stood a few inches shorter than he. "You should watch where your going!" She could faintly smell the blood that coursed in him. She knew that he had recently eaten. She had nothing against vampires and considered them friends, but it waw the simple rudeness that annoyed her. A cool breeze whiped passed her causing her black trench coat to rustle slightly.

In the darkness she was but a shadow only her white shirt and pale face was barely visible. She rarely went out in the sun as she lived with vampires and had developed such habits. In a sense, she was a monster, yet not. In her mind and actions, yes. In her physical ability and biological finess, she was not. She did not fear them. Why should she? They enjoyed mortal fear. She simply stood and glared at the vampire waiting for an apology. She had seen the way that he had lured that woman into the alleyway. Pure genoius, really. Every monster had his/her own style. But then again, most cleaned up after themselves too. He did not. He had left the corpse to be discovered. Foolishness!
"Go ahead and eat your precious mortal victims, but clean up the mess" she said sharply. She reminded herself of a scolding old woman bitter beyond redemption. But she didn't care. She had cleaned up after vampires like this one her entire life and was getting sick of it. "By the way, where'd that dog go?" she asked lookeing into the shadows. >:(

Damian's hollow icy eyes narrowed to nothing more then slits as the female spoke. How a mere human could have such nerve was beyond him. But she would soon learn fast not to take such tones with people. Sure the average person would've apologized and walked away. Hell maybe even the spare vampire would do the same.. But Damian's nerves were short and it took little to push him over the edge. And how she could blame him for the act was entirely suicidal. For she herself could've avoided the incident if she was watching where she was going."Listen, child-" he spoke in a tone that held pure venom. His hand grasped tightly around her throat. Even if she struggled or kicked out she wouldn't be able to get away, for vampires were just plainly stronger then humans. And that was that. "You'll think twice before blaming this on me!" he spat as he sent her roughly to the ground. He quickly dropped down, landing his knee into her stomach. "And to tell me how to hunt.. Child.. You must be praying for your death.." he said as he tightened his grip about his neck. Being a vampire had it's quirks.. One of which being that you had the ability to send commands into a mortal's mind.. Making them feel or do anything you pleased... At the moment he figured pain would be best. So he did just that. Concentrating, Damian sent a wave of pain into the child's mind, enough pain to make her go insane if he held it there long enough. But he took it off soon, letting her get a taste of what he could do...

Pain shot through Squall ribs and abdomin. 'Thats gonna leave a bruise' she thought to herself. She actually whimpered like an injured dog. The vampire was easily stronger than she as were most of his kind. He was almost beyond reasoning. No other vampire had dared to strike at her. But she was defiant and glared at him mercilessly. A death wish? That thought had crossed from his mind. "Death happens sooner or later...To ALL of us!" Sure vampires could live forever, but some were driven to insanity before then. "Death happens." she said with a vicious vampiric grin. The vampire sent waves of pain crashing through her skull. It was worse then being physically hit. She cried out. She cradled her head in both hands when he stopped. "Okay. Okay. Sorry!" She moaned slightly and stayed cowering on the hard ground. Her lip was bleeding from the first blow. She licked it up cautiously watching for his reaction. She knew he could smell it, and as far as she knew vampires were like sharks: drawn to the blood.

(Terribly sorry I haven't posted in some time.. I tend to get short bursts of inspiration for the forums then it kinda dies down and I stop posting again... )

:::: DAMIAN:::

"You're lucky I don't tear you to pieces right here and now... You're very, very foolish child..." he spoke in a dangerously calm tone of voice. As if he were building energy for his next attack. The smell of blood then hit his sences then. The crimson liquid coming into view as his eyes hit her lip. The soft wimpering accenting the sight only made his excitement grow. Fear was the escence in a kill.... For it truly added an unknown desireable taste to ones blood. Though he didn't seem to care too much at the moment. For he had just fed and wasn't in the least bit hungry. Though the childs defieance to his kind only pushed his desire to torture her even farther over the edge. His grip upon her throat tightened. Sufficiantly sharp, black painted nails digging slightly into the delicate skin of her neck. Five small lines of blood began to slowly trickle down her flesh; sending chills down her spine. Anger was more then noticable in his hollow black eyes. His nerves were already shot and she could tell it easily. If the child so much as raised her voice to him again he would snap her neck with a single flip of his wrist. Hell he probably wouldn't even let her go if she apologized... Again he would probably kill her.. If she was lucky. For he could spend countless hours just sitting here torchering her untill she was on the brink of insanity.... It was all up to her now.

*Pain exploded at the rear of his head, as something connected with his skull. The force was enough to lift him off the ground, while dropping Squall at the same time. When he landed, he looked to see who, or what, had hit him with such force.*

A young looking man stood over Squall, his body between the hunter and the prey. His manner of dress and his demeanor denoted that he was a Hunter. His head was bowed, and long black hair hid his face in shadow. His long leather jacket shifted slightly in the breeze.

(Hope this is okay)
